Students will learn concepts that will help them to decisions that can improve their overall health.
Assessment of Progress
Students will write daily “Write Its” that help assess their understanding of concepts learned the previous day. They will also take occasional quizzes and tests.
I expect that students will be respectful both to me, their teacher, and to their classmates.
I will take action in order to maintain a safe and effective learning environment. Steps that I may take, when a student is not following class expectations include: a verbal warning, having the student sit out of activity, having a conference with the student, or having them sit in another classroom in order to collect themselves. If a problem persists with a student, I may also involve parents and/or a member of our school’s administration.
Student attendance is important. If a student misses class, they are expected to make up any work they missed. Most assignments can accessed on my class blog.
