Independence High School

A group from US Synthetics participated in the United Way’s Day of Caring at Independence High School. This group cleared out trees and brush from the beautiful grounds around our school.

Students in Bryce’s Digital Business class took photos and interviewed some of the volunteers.  These students created websites and flyers about their experiences.  If you would like to see some of the students’ work, feel free to visit their websites.  It is amazing to have our students learning all of these amazing Digital Literacy skills which they will be able to take with them as they look to be competitive in the workforce.

On Thursday, 8 September 2022 a group from the US Synthetics and others helped clean up the school. When asked why did you come here today one answered :I don’t know my team just signed me up: – worker. Others said that they wanted to help and that they wanted to serve the community. We asked why they think service is important? They responded with “I think it’s fulfilling to help other.” “It’s fun to help other people.” With the help of these volunteers we now have a nice clean school.
