Conducta de los estudiantes
Students’ behavior and emotional well being have a direct correlation to academic success. We believe that providing unmatched interactive, social and emotional opportunities will aid students in developing the type of behavior to help them find success in academics and life. One study reports that “behavior in the classroom was found to predict later academic achievement (Alvidrez and Weinstein, 1999) and also important life outcomes in education and the labor market.” Additionally, Hinshaw (1992) suggests that behavior affects achievement and achievement affects behavior. We want students to discover their potential through personal success. This success can be achieved by following the behavior guidelines below:
- Make progress towards graduation (Perseverance)
- Be on time (Respect and Integrity)
- Follow requests from adults (Respect)
- Regular Attendance (Decision-Making Skills)
- Follow all the policies and procedures of Independence High School and Provo City school District (Decision-Making Skills)
- Contribute to a positive school environment (Excellence)
