In 1SG Boughton’s financial Literacy class at Independence High, the student have been learning the value of a dollar. As hard as we work to earn them, they can easly be squandered away on  fastfood leaving nothing to show for your labor. Today his class learned how to take Thanksgiving leftovers and create a family feast for nearly nothing. His student helped make Prosperity Sandwiches. They assisted in making a roux for a cheese sauce, toasting bread, topping with bacon and leftover diced turkey and smothering it in the hot cheese sauce. For a handful of dimes the entire class dined on a delectable dinner. The students were encouraged to take the recipe home and work with their parents in helping feed the fam.
